How RPMA Works
Simply the Best M2M Technology on the Planet
Ingenu’s founders designed RPMA, or Random Phase Multiple Access technology, from the ground up to support the needs of machines.
Ingenu can offer these benefits because of key design decisions about spectrum usage, transmission method, endpoint/module design, and message communication capabilities. Let us show you how RPMA works.
Coverage Optimized Transmission Method
When building RPMA, we designed a transmission method that provides incredible coverage and capacity. Where CDMA is optimized for high data throughput, we optimized RPMA for lower throughput and extreme coverage. RPMA is also robust to interference to make sure your messages get to where they need to go.
Technology Designed for Unlimited Capacity Scalability
Devices communicating on a wireless network are a lot like people talking at a party. In this analogy, the partygoers are the endpoints/modules, and for our story, there will be a few popular partygoers that the others want to talk to, these will be our access points. If you’ve ever been to a party where everyone has to keep talking louder in order to hear each other, that is how other low power wide area networks work. At some point, it won’t matter how loudly you yell, you won’t be understood. That poses severe capacity constraints. RPMA solves this in a simple, but profound way. We control the volume of our partygoers! As more partiers enter the scene and talk to the popular partiers, they talk quieter in an appropriate amount: still loud enough to be heard by those they are talking to (the access points) but not so loud they disturb the other groups of partiers (other access points).
Simply Genius Communication Capabilities
We created RPMA with full-featured capabilities so that you can communicate with your devices in a rich, secure, and meaningful way. We provide true two-way communication, message acknowledgement, flexible packet sizes, firmware downloads and much more. This is because we designed RPMA modules and access points to be smart. With firmware downloads, your devices become future-proof and more secure. RPMA gives you what you need.
