Ingenu uses Microsoft Azure IoT Hub to enable rapid development
of end-to-end IoT applications

SAN DIEGO – February 15, 2017 – Ingenu Inc.™, the company that delivers purpose-built IoT connectivity, today announced it is teaming with Microsoft Corp. to utilize the Microsoft Azure IoT Hub to facilitate the deployment of end-to-end IoT (Internet of Things) solutions based on Ingenu’s RPMA® (Random Phase Multiple Access) network technology.

Azure IoT Hub supports a broad set of operating systems and protocols, giving IoT solution developers the ability to quickly connect, monitor and manage IoT assets. Intellect™, Ingenu’s RPMA device management platform, will integrate with the Azure IoT Hub to provide secure bi-directional communication between RPMA-enabled devices and web applications. The solution will further enhance the processing of collected IoT data using Azure services such as Stream Analytics, SQL Database, Event Hubs, App Service, and Power BI Embedded.

“The inherent characteristics of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform spurred the seamless development of this innovative solution,” said Joshua Builta, vice president, product management at Ingenu. “The Microsoft and Ingenu application teams collaborated to create an extremely simple and useful tool which extends the capabilities of the Intellect platform.”

Sam George, Director, Microsoft Azure IoT at Microsoft Corp. said, “We’re pleased to support Ingenu’s work to simplify the creation and deployment of scalable IoT applications for customers by integrating the Azure IoT Hub service with their Intellect platform. This integration enables complete network visibility and an end-to-end robust data management solution.”

About RPMA

Utilizing globally available spectrum, Ingenu’s RPMA® (Random Phase Multiple Access) technology is purpose-built for M2M/IoT connectivity, offering unparalleled range, coverage and capacity with extremely low power requirements and longer-lasting battery life. It uniquely enables devices to connect more efficiently and cost-effectively in both the uplink and downlink. Requiring fewer towers to provide coverage to large areas (1:10 to 1:30 radio towers needed for RPMA vs. cellular), RPMA is rapidly becoming a global standard for IoT communication.
